moving on

I’m moving on from my old MacBook today

We’ve been partners for over four years. On the battle field of startup nation together we had good and bad times

Truth is that I’ve been using another machine for a few months already. It’s faster, lighter, better in any way. It was just really hard to rip off the stickers and just move on

I take this as a metaphor for any relationship. Human, business, possessions. it’s hard to strike a balance between what makes you happy and what holds you back

Italy, my home country, is a place of tradition. Italians don’t move on

We are very proud, hold grudges for life, treasure the past and we are constantly afraid of the future. Now that I think about it, this holds true to any mediterranean country

From where I’m from, moving on is not cool. It’s disrespectful

It takes a lot of guts to go against the grain. It really hurts people’s pride when they feel you are leaving them behind

Why were they not good enough for you?
Why do you think you deserve better?

My MacBook is not the only thing I should move on from. It’s may be the easiest but won’t be the last, change is coming
